I’ve been wondering about how we learn to dream.
I’m convinced it is a learned skill, shaped by environment and permissions and imagination. Not everyone knows how to dream; for example, some people are trapped by their own reality, comfort or laziness. In today’s world, there might be examples of kids who never get the encouragement to follow their heart or who never even get the chance to explore what they’d be good at. Others are happy to adopt popular-culture dreams from TV, movies and media.
So what?
What if we encouraged more dreaming, more envisioning the future? What if it was OK to imagine things differently?
Where could dreams take us?
Anywhere we can imagine.
